Fourche Creek Cleanup - POSTPONED due to High Water!
The Fourche Creek Cleanup previously scheduled for Saturday, October 10 has been POSTPONED due to high water on the creek. Information on the new date will follow.
Audubon Arkansas says the Fourche Creek Watershed is perhaps the most important urban watershed Arkansas. The watershed drains and filters runoff from much of Little Rock.
Yet it is home to a diverse population of birds, including Great Blue Herons, wood ducks and Prothonotary Warblers, With a little luck, you might also see beavers, deer, mink, snakes and turtles, Audubon says.
That's why Village Commons wants to support efforts to maintain the Fourche Creek watershed.
